Great news for those of us who have seriously overdone the alcohol and fatty food intake over the Christmas and New Year Festive Season in 2011 and are in need of a liver cleanse.
This January 2012 sees the first ever love your liver roadshow run by the British Liver Trust across the UK.
What is the Love Your Liver Roadshow Challenge?
The love your liver roadshow challenge is an embarrasing bodies type pop up liver clinic run by some of the UK's top liver specialists. These liver specialist will be on hand to test your liver and offer handy tips on looking after the liver. This one of a kind love your liver roadshow tests your liver through a Fibroscan. A Fibroscan is a non-invasive and painless test that measures how stiff your liver is. This Fibroscan technology which is normally only available at some NHS hospitals for people who have been referred to a liver specialist if you have an abnormal liver function test, helps to detect any signs of liver damage that may need further investigation.

Liver Disease is a serious and growing public health problem that effects approximately 2 million people in the UK. The British Liver Trust is a UK Charity that has a small dedicated team of people tackling this serious issue through awareness campaigns such as the Love Your Liver Roadshow.
