7 Detox Tips

When Is The Best Time To Detox?

There comes a point in an adult’s life when we ask ourselves “Do I need to detox my body?”

The funny thing is this is often after we have been over indulging in food and drink that are generally bad for us, and have been for a fairly long time.

More often than not, the urge to detox our bodies is commonly after our Christmas or summer holidays where we have been enjoying the treat of too much alcohol and rich fatty foods.

I think we all know when it’s time for a detox, as our bodies have a subtle way of showing us some detox symptoms.

Common Detox Symptoms

So what are some of the tell tale signs & detox symptoms that tell us it’s time we detoxed our bodies?

Generally we can become very lethargic, and we can notice a drop in our natural energy levels. Our bodies can start to feel heavy, and we can often feel full and bloated.
Headaches are also another tell tale detox symptom that tell us that toxins have built up in our system. Our moods may drop, and we may also start to feel a little anxious and depressed.
Other common symptoms are constipation, cellulite, bad skin including dry skin and also bad breath.
Having trouble sleeping at night may also be a sign of that our bodies need to detox.

7 Easy To Follow Detox Tips:

No 1 – Drink Water

Drink 2 litres of water a day. Drinking water will help to flush and cleanse all the organs in your body, including your biggest organ, your skin. Invest in a water filter for best results.

No 2 – Cut out toxins

Cut out all toxins including Coffee, Cigarettes, Alcohol, Sugars and Saturated Fat.

No 3 – Relax

Learn to relax. Stress in our lives can create the release of harmful hormones including Adrenaline.
Try Meditation, Yoga, or a relaxing Hot Bath.

No 4 – Eat Fruit & Vegetables

Increase your natural dietary fibre intake through plenty of fruit and vegetables. Also artichokes, beetroot, cabbage, chlorella, radishes, seaweed, and spirulina are all great organic detoxifying foods.

No 5 – Use a herbal cleanse

Cleanse the body by taking herbs for detoxing. Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root, Green Tea
and Burdock are all excellent herbs for detoxing the liver and body.

No 6 – Exercise

Exercise is not only great for the heart but the increase in blood flow
will help your circulation, and flush out impurities and toxins.

No 7 – Sweat out toxins

Finally try releasing toxins and waste by relaxing in a nice hot sauna, this will help to sweat it all out of your system.
